In May 2004, Tower of Power was visiting Las Vegas and former Strokeland Records manager Andy Ebon encouraged six of the band members to visit Lon Bronson's show. Andy had mentioned to Tower of Power's Stephen "Doc" Kupka that Lon had been kicking around the idea of a live CD. After the show, Doc went backstage to congratulate Lon and offered up some unrecorded originals, on the promise that the All-Star Band would record them.

That event put Lon into high gear. Collaborating with Las Vegas recording guru, Bob Lentini (Saw Studio), the All-Star Band recorded over three nights in October/November 2004. The end result is a 13-song Live Show that captures the spirit of their weekly performances. Thus began the Lon Bronson All-Star Band's association with Strokeland Records.
